LightBlue Environmental Consulting is the Accredited company in charge of all commercial development of The PLEDGE™ on Food Waste. is a third-party verified certification and benchmarking system designed to: (1) Reduce food waste, (2) Save on costs and (3) Get restaurants' efforts recognized. It provides an expert and comprehensive framework to address the issue of food waste and its financial, environmental, social impacts. There are 95 criteria in total, that are clustered into 7 key pillars. The 7 key pillars are not a simple aggregate of best practices that have been put together and labeled. They are the necessary conditions to have an ongoing system that helps the organizations reduce food waste.
Job Description
Business Development (50%)
  • Identify existing business opportunities and manage the business development process from prospect to closing deals with:
    • Direct customers (e.g. hotels, restaurants, canteens, catering) ​
    • Accredited consultants and representatives (building the network)
    • Potential partners (e.g. academics, food waste solution providers)
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends and market movements to explore new opportunities for business development (e.g. market research, trends & publications analysis, events) ​
  • Fine-tune sales materials and tools (e.g. sales material, CRM)
Customer Management (25%)
  • Be the main contact point between The PLEDGE™ and:
    • Direct customers (manage all the process from request for interest to post-certification) ​
    • Accredited consultants and representatives (animate the network)
    • Partners (academics, food waste solution providers)
  • Organize and execute assigned business projects according to client's requirements (design, preparation, implementation and follow up) ​
  • Assist the client in implementing the plan and resolve any occasional discrepancies
  • Support the development and delivery of training sessions
  • Fine-tune customers' materials and tools (e.g. training material, consultant material, communication material for restaurants)
  • Develop ways to improve the customer experience and build brand loyalty
Communication (15%)
  • Improve overall online visibility of The PLEDGE™
  • Maintain the website up to date
  • Define and implement a social media strategy on key social media to grow the audience/followers (daily posting)
  • Develop key visuals to support the communication with and for our customers
Administration (10%)
  • Prepare and follow up invoices, payments, contracts, proposals, MOUs, etc.
  • Adjust and follow-up financial projections
  • Ensure the online platform is up-to-date and always accessible
  • Suggest and lead regular criteria review
Selection Criteria
  • Excellent conduct of English (verbal and written) is required with Thai being a bonus
  • Good bachelor's degree or master's degree from a recognized university
  • Experience in project management, business development/sales, and customer relation management
  • Hands-on/can-do attitude, with the ability to think outside the box
  • Organized thinker, used to set goals and to develop and implement required action plans
  • Genuine ability to work independently
  • Experience in food waste, sustainability, hospitality, or business development is an advantage
